MONIKA BURCHARD

Psychologist, psycho-oncologist, crisis intervention specialist, trainer

GET SUPPORT

I support people with somatic illnesses, their loved ones, and healthcare professionals in finding balance during times of crisis, illness and emotional overload. At the core of my work is a comprehensive, evidence-based grasp of patient care. If I were to answer the question who I am, my first thought would be that I am a naturally creative and full of initiative individual. That is why I pursue my career in a few related areas: as a psychologist, a team coordinator, and a trainer. In all three roles, I feel I am in the right place and work effectively, which has been repeatedly confirmed by the people with whom I work.

O mnie - Monika Burchard

I am the founder of the Park Nadziei (“Park of Hope”) Charity Organization and the coordinator of the Clinical Psychology and Occupational Therapy Unit at the Pomnik Chrztu Polski Hospital in Gniezno. I also create the podcast „Życie do góry nogami” (“Life Turned Upside Down”), devoted to the psychological aspects of illness and family functioning in times of crisis. My initiatives aimed at preventing burnout in healthcare professionals have been recognized with an award in the nationwide Safe Hospital of the Future competition.
